This is a copy of one that was painted in a series of African themed pieces for a fundraiser for my friend Nadine.

She and a group of refugees had to flee South Africa on foot eventually to wind up in Cameroon.

They encountered many animals along the way, this was one that she described to me, she said. "... it was huge and it just lay there staring at us as we walked by. I was afraid it was going to attack us!"
